WHAT HAPPENED TO SKYLER WHITE AFTER BREAKING BAD’S ENDING

What happened to Skyler White after she was last seen in the Breaking Bad series finale? The show’s creator Vince Gilligan is currently working on a Breaking Bad spin-off film, but it’s unclear if any members of the White family will make an appearance. Actress Anna Gunn played the White family matriarch in all five seasons of the series.

Being the wife of Walter White was certainly not easy. Skyler stood by Walt after his cancer diagnosis and remained as a pillar for the rest of the family to lean on. Walt’s constant disappearances and erratic behavior put a strain on his marriage with Skyler. Unbeknownst to her, Walt was distracted by his secret career as an emerging drug kingpin. Skyler was understandably frightened and furious when she learned the truth, but she went on to mastermind a money laundering scheme for Walt’s ill-gotten gains. The family dynamic changed when Walt got in too deep with his dangerous dealings. With Walt spinning out of control and Hank dead, Skyler solely focused on protecting her kids, Walt Jr. and Holly.

What exactly happened to the White family after Walt was left mortally wounded at the end of the Breaking Bad series finale? R.J. Mitte provided his own thoughts on Walt Jr.’s future. He stated that he could have seen Walt Jr. join the DEA to honor Hank while he hunts down his father (who he believes is still alive) and Jesse. There was no mention of Skyler in Mitte’s speculation. There also hasn’t been any kind of remarks made by Gunn regarding Skyler’s future post-Breaking Bad.

Based on what happened to Skyler towards the end of the series, we made our own speculation about her fate. After Walt’s secrets came to life, Skyler’s life went downhill fast. When her life fell apart and Walt disappeared, Skyler lost her assets and moved in with her kids in a small apartment with a job as a taxi dispatcher. It was revealed that her sister, Marie, reached out for a truce, so it’s likely that the two reconnected shortly after the series finale. Since they both lost their husbands in different ways, they only have each other to rely on.

It’s also very possible that the previous events caused the two women to go down a very dark path. Breaking Bad has proved that Skyler was willing to commit crimes if it benefited her family’s well-being. Her family and the safety of her family would always be her top priority. Marie had issues of kleptomania in the past so her dark state could resurface those urges. It would be intriguing to see Skyler and Marie team up for their own crime campaign.

With that said. Skyler would never go the levels that Walt went during his villainous stage. As the sole parent left, she would need to provide some sort of stability for Walt Jr. and Holly. If anyone from the White family appeared in the upcoming Breaking Bad movie, it would be enticing to see what direction their lives took.
